Photos

All content must be in digital form. -No content is returned-

Submit content on CD or ZIP, photos can be any size, any format, any dpi. all photos will be resized to 1024 pixels on the longest side at 72dpi. (To maximize quality , submit photos already sized to 1024 pixels, 72 dpi with no compression, as TIFF or PICT files

-Do not use any watermarking or encryption technology-

 

Metadata (Captions & Keywords)

Submit captions, keywords and other data as tab delimited ASCI text files,that uses a standardized (predictable) sequence of fields/cells"SimpleText" or ".txt file". Minimum fields to include are the content ID number, copyright notice, caption, keywords and the domain name that will have the photo (if other than "Fotos")One record per content. Though not obligatory, we highly recommend using StockMedia's Keyword Compiler (free). Or request a variance and use your normal program. Using Keyword Compiler will increase your sales, it enables your content to be searched in at least six languages, and automatically adds synonyms for keywords. It also empowers you to - on a content by content basis - limit distribution to a single country, assign a URL for your direct HI-RES sales and for direct CD sales, authorize micro tans- actions, designate a supplemental niche market domain, add specific usage restrictions, and have separate copyright notice, creator name and agency rep name.

 

Containers

Photos and ASCI metadata files MUST be submitted in a specific folder hierarchy to correctly credit sales and because there are many domains in the StockMedia.net network. Use you unique supplier ID number as the name of the outer most Folder. In that folder, place a folder called "Metadata" with the ASCI metadata file and a series of folder with domain names containing photos for each niche market. Name each file the content ID number that relates to the metadata record. The main default folder is the "Foto" containing all 24 bit photos. Target only one niche market in addition to "Fotos" when duplicating the photo file in niche folders, be sure to duplicate the metadata record and specify the target domain. Two photo files and two data records, different only by the folder/domain name.

Though turnaround time is not guaranteed, content submitted in correct folders with metadata from keywordCompiler could be online generating sales within hours of arrival at Stock Media corporation. You can change all metadata and control fields online in the "Change Data" section of your personal profile
